Trần Trọng Đạt, known professionally as Trọng Đạt, was born in 1976 in Hanoi, Vietnam. He graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 2008. He is a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association. He currently lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City. Trọng Đạt’s artistic practice explores life experiences, memory, and imagination. Through painting, he transforms everyday observations into a visual language that bridges reality and emotion. Intuition provides the starting point for his creative process, while formal thinking helps organize the composition. In his paintings, remembered scenes, present impressions, and imagined elements coexist within the same pictorial space, allowing reality and imagination to interact. Color serves as a means of emotional expression, while lines and forms establish rhythm and structure throughout the composition.
